Data Loss & Recent Events

After some months of inactivity, it is with great regret that my first post is about a recent problem with my hosting. Due to some kind of problem with the server upgrade or due to some malicious user, I (and probably many of you) was greeted with a blank page while trying to access this very site.

Later on, I came to find that all my FTP had been erased. Luckily, I had a 'recent' backup of all the coding (though not all the files) so please bear with me while I try to restablish the order here ;)

On a side note, I've travelled to Castelo Branco this weekend to participate in a Robot Football competition. It was great fun and, while we didn't expect to win anything, we managed to achieve the 3rd place national-wise. The best part of it is that virtually all the programming was made during the trip (~3 hours). I happened to be the coder on-duty and programmed the defense robot and made emergency modifications during matches. Unfortunately I wasn't able to be present at the final matches but the two colleagues of mine that did (Afonso and Pedro) did a hell of a job enhancing the attacking robot.

I have now less than a month until high school ends and then I'll have to take 3 National-wide exams and, once these are completed, I can finally apply for University! I'm quite excited about it and I can't wait to see how it is like to study only that which is of interest to you (albeit with much more intensity :P)
