Introduction
Rather than being an extensive and throughout tutorial giving you specific notions and explanations of the required languages to make a website (which would be a waste of time with such vast and useful resources available on the internet), this tutorial aims to outline the various steps to becoming a successful web programmer.

I finally got around to wrapping up the last details and can now announce the completion of the website. While the frontend has remained mostly untouched during the last months (except for the file section), I was busy developing the backoffice to allow me to easily change/add/delete/edit the website data.
For those who might be interested in these things, here are the total website statistics (only of my code. External libraries not included) along with some screens of the backoffice ;)

Yesterday was my birthday! I'm now 17 and only one more year to go until I'll be allowed to drive :D
Spent most of the day with my best friend and then had a family dinner with my sisters, nephews, mother and some other people :P
I received some money, 3 t-shirts and the latest 'Wilt' book. If you haven't read any of the Wilt books by Tom Sharpe yet I highly reccomend them! They are hilarious :)

Monday the Physics/Chemistry exam results were finally made available and I had a 19.7 (in 20). I'm quite pleased with myself but I could have had 20 if it weren't for the corrector's mistake (didn't accept J/kg/ºC when it is as valid as J kg-1 ºC-1).
I could try and appeal but I'd risk losing 0.7 marks due to an implicit reference in one of the text responses so I decided to let it be.
For those of you who'd like to know more about website programming I'm writing a 'small' guide which will highlight the steps one should take in order to develop a well-constrcuted website.

After a busy school year with lots of work and studying, the summer vacations have finally come!
Yesterday I have finished my final exam (nation-wide Chemistry/Physics exam) and it went very well! I've checked the correction criteria and am expecting something along the lines of 19-20.
Tutorial - Programming a Keylogger - VB.NET
Posted on 11/06/2008 22:50 - 152 Comments
Introduction
This tutorial aims to teach you how to program a basic Keylogger in VB.NET for Windows Operating Systems (tested with WinXp)
Keyloggers, as you probably know, are little applications whose only purpose is to log the user keystrokes. Often associated with evil intents (getting data which, normally, wasn't accessible to you), keyloggers are also useful for debugging and statistics.
By creating a Keylogger you'll end up learning how to access various Operative System functions thus gaining a greater knowledge of how everything works under the hood :)

It had come to my attention that the site rendered in a quite ugly fashion using Internet Explorer 6. Therefore, I've spent some time today configuring it and it should now render in a more fashionable matter. I was, however, unable to keep the panel shadows so you'll only get a simple border.
The issue with transparent PNGs has also been fixed due to this magnificent script: http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/.
Now I'm going back to my studies. Only one more week to go (2 actually but the last one doesn't count :P)

I've recently found this great video while browsing through FPSBanana. It mixes WoW and Portal at the sound of an incredibly addicting music. Check it out further down this post aswell as a link to the song ;)
I won't have any classes tomorrow and the day after tomorrow so, besides studying Maths and Portuguese as well as finish a little MSN Plus script I'm working on (which I'll soon release), I've decided to reinstall S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl. I had already played it once but I lost my savegames and with those, my interest. This time however, I'll play it using a modification called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Oblivion Lost'.
From the wide range of features the mod provides, I'm really looking forward to Freeplay and Faction Wars. It should give stalker an awesome new side and make it even more entertaining. I should write more about this as I finally get to play it :D

So, as I had said in my previous post, I got 2 of my wisdom teeth extracted. While the operation didn't hurt at all (how could it hurt with 4 anesthesic injections), later on that day, when the effect from the anesthesics wore off, I did experience excruciating pain xD. I also got a swollen cheek (and I still have as of today but less swollen) which difficulted movements with the mouth such as talking and eating. I have to admit I'm not really looking forward to the day when I have to extract the other 2 :/
This week I also had that national preparation exam of Physics/Chemistry. Despite my condition it went quite well and I finished with 15 mins spare time. Only the last set of questions gave me more trouble as we never executed the experiment they referred to but, anyway, our teacher said he wouldn't correct them so I'm expecting something along the lines of 19 (in 20).

This has been a busy day here at my school. Once again, we were chosen to host the bianual Marist Olympics reuniting colleges from both Portugal and Spain. This year a total of 9 schools decided to participate in the event so we had an abnormal amount of participants.
My task during these olympiads was to measure the distances of the long jumps. A tedious task but easily manageable, especially when Mario, a colleague of mine, kept commenting the way the participants jumped and made everyone on the track laugh :P.
The longest male jump was performed by Francisco Casegas (6.07 m) and the longest female jump was performed by Isabel Nogollón (4.00 m). Congratulations to them ;)
